This yearโs Paws & Pumpkins event was an incredible success, filled with smiles, sunshine, and the heartwarming spirit of community that makes Sumner County so special.
Weโre thrilled to share that the day ended with 15 total adoptions and several additional reservations placed on animals soon to find their forever homes. While we did have three animals returned due to circumstances beyond their adoptersโ control, that still means 12 successful adoptions โ a true reflection of what this event is all about: connecting loving families with animals in need.
The day was full of energy and excitement! The kids loved testing their aim at the dunk tank, our adoptable pets soaked up attention from visitors, and our staff enjoyed the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people and businesses from across Sumner County.
Weโre so grateful to our vendors who helped make the event extra special. Guests enjoyed delicious food from Cancun Lagoon Mexican Restaurant and Hot Dog Lovers Hotdog Stand, and our festive entryway was beautifully decorated by Small Town Pop Co. We were also thrilled to host Calโs K9s, who wowed the crowd with their incredible disc dog performance โ it was a highlight of the day!
Of course, this event wouldnโt have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our Sumner County Animal Services staff, as well as the support of our amazing sponsors:
Ausbrooks Auto & Machine, Joeyโs Flooring, 1st National Bank, Sumner Prevention Coalition, and Houndstown.
From everyone at Sumner County Animal Services, thank you to all who joined us, adopted, volunteered, sponsored, or simply stopped by to support. Your participation helps us continue our mission to care for and find loving homes for animals in need.
We canโt wait to see you all again next year for another fun-filled Paws & Pumpkins celebration!
